Difficult to treat asthma patients although only making up to 5-10% of the asthma patient population, represent a large burden to any health care system.
The successful treatment of this disease would have wide ranging benefits for all health economies. The object of this registry is to collect data on the clinical status and treatment of individual patients and track clinical progress of these patients and their responses to treatment. Results will be used for the development of evidence based standards and clinical practise guidelines. Overall it will give us a better understanding of this condition resulting in improved management of the condition thus leading to improved quality of life for patients.
The aim enable individual clinicians to access comparative data acquired from multiple centres, which can be used for patient documentation and appraisal.
